about us

NATIVE TRAVEL CHILE

We are a travel agency that seeks to connect travelers with communities of indigenous Mapuche peoples, of which we are part of, in order to make our identity known as people characterized mainly by respect, care and appreciation of the ecosystem or ñukemapu (Mother Earth).

As Mapuches, our fundamental principle is to see the world and contribute to improve it

• The Earth is amazing but it will not last not forever

• The products we use derive exclusively from the planet, which is why it is so important to ensure its social and environmental well-being, as a company and as human beings as well.

• We not only foster care for the planet, but go beyond by contributing to the regeneration of the planet.

• The social and cultural value of what we do is as important to us as the benefits that come from tourism itself.

why tourism

Many families and young people from Mapuche communities migrate to large cities, which gradually transforms their identity and cultural customs, eventually loosing it all together. Through tourism it is possible for young Mapuches to feel valued and be encouraged to recover or maintain their culture, customs and worldview while simultaneously contributing to generate a positive impact for travelers.

Why travel with us

Our grandparents taught us that everything around us has a cycle and that is why we are convinced that travel experiences have to be beneficial for all involved: making it an unforgettable experience for the traveler and at the same time contributing to the development of local communities and families.
